Center for Complex Neurology, EDS & POTS is a direct pay practice and does not accept or bill insurance.
The current healthcare model in the United States does not provide appropriate reimbursement given the amount of time and level of care required for patients with complex chronic illnesses. For this reason, we have adopted a direct pay model similar to other practices throughout the country that specialize in complex care.
🔷 Out-of-Network Reimbursement
We provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
Coverage and reimbursement depend on your individual plan. We cannot guarantee reimbursement or estimate what your insurance will cover.
🔷 Medicaid / AHCCCS Limitations
Due to federal regulations (including the 21st Century Cures Act), we are unable to order tests, imaging, prescriptions, or referrals that would be covered under these programs.
You may still choose to be seen as a self-pay patient. However, you will need a physician who participates in Medicaid/AHCCCS to place any orders for testing or treatment.
🔷 Additional Considerations
Laboratory testing, imaging, medications, and infusion therapies may still be covered by your insurance depending on your plan. It is your responsibility to verify coverage.
